Dive into Summer Fun at Wise Choice Summer Camp!
At Wise Choice Summer Camp, we know that swimming and summer go hand in hand! Our refreshing swimming pool is the perfect way for campers to cool off on hot summer days. Safety is our top priority, and we ensure that all campers are well supervised while enjoying their time in the water. Camp counselors will be in the pool or watching from the edge, and certified lifeguards are always on duty to oversee our designated swimming areas.
Swimming Rules and Instructions by Location
Doral Location
Campers at the Doral summer camp will swim at the Miami Springs Aquatic Center. Each camper will also take a swim test upon arrival, requiring them to swim the length of the pool without assistance or touching the floor. Campers who do not pass the test will be required to wear a life vest for the duration of their swim—no exceptions. All participants will receive swim rules from the Miami Springs Aquatic Center lifeguards and are expected to adhere to these rules for a safe swimming experience.
FIU Campus
Campers at the FIU summer camp will swim at the Tamiami Pool. Upon arrival, each camper will take a swim test to ensure they can swim independently. The test requires them to swim the length of the pool without assistance or touching the bottom. Campers who do not pass the swim test must wear a life vest while in the pool—no exceptions. All campers will receive swim rules from the Tamiami lifeguards and are expected to follow these rules to participate safely.
UM Campus
At the UM summer camp, swimming will take place at the University of Miami outdoor pool located at the University Center building. Similar to the FIU location, campers will undergo a swim test to confirm their ability to swim independently. Those who do not pass the test will need to return to camp—no exceptions. Additionally, unlike the Tamiami and Miami Springs pools, the UM pool does not allow life vests or any type of swimming aids.
